"Merritt Island" Chardonnay 2018

$27.00

Merritt Island is a crescent moon “sliver on the river” of land within the larger Clarksburg appellation of Yolo County. Cradled by the Sacramento River on one side, and Elk and Sutter Sloughs winding by on the other. With only four vineyards and one quarter of the land planted to chardonnay, this small appellation is full of silt rich soil that produced a ripe, rounded wine that still maintains great acidity. It is a humble and small appellation that still produces lovely wines, and so the label is very tongue-in-cheek; it is based off of historic labels of some of the most prestigious Burgundy wineries, which are also on relatively small parcels of land.

Aged in four 100% neutral oak barrels, 3.53 pH, 2.6 g/L RS, 6.9 g/L TA, 13.1% ALC
